Shenzhen Eastern Environmental Protection Power Plant Project is invested and constructed by Shenzhen Energy. Upon completion, it will become the world's largest and highest standard waste incineration power plant. After the power plant is completed, it is expected to process about 5000 tons of garbage every day, accounting for about 1/3 of the annual garbage generated by Shenzhen, which has a population of 20 million.

The project uses a circular building design with a roof area of nearly 66000 square meters, of which about 40000 square meters will be covered with photovoltaic panels, making the building itself sustainable through solar energy.
